Greetings from the Southwest Chapter

Early in 1991, Joan & Al Bernardi and Jane & Bob Rivett (who were from the southwestern part of the USA and members of the Limited Owners International) decided to form a regional chapter of the LIO.

During the May 1991 National LIO Rally in Indianapolis, Indiana, members of the proposed new chapter held an organizational meeting where they agreed to form the Southwest Chapter of Limited Owners International, and elected the Chapter’s first slate of officers. The new Southwest Chapter would include the states of New Mexico, Arizona, Southern Nevada, Utah and Colorado.

At the first Southwest Chapter rally held during July 1991 in Colorado Springs, Colorado, the members adopted the Chapter bylaws. Amendments were approved at rallies held at Gatlinburg, Tennessee in 1993; Estes Park, Colorado in 1994; Marion, North Carolina and Albuquerque, New Mexico in 1995, and Decatur Indiana in 2000.

Today, the Southwest Chapter has grown to our current 93 coach members. All of the American Coach Association chapters have fun, but we’re known as “The Laidback and Friendly Chapter”.

The Southwest Chapter has a one-time initiation fee of $8.00, and annual dues of $12.00 (less $1.00 prorated per month after July). We welcome you and invite you to join with us in celebrating this beautiful life!!!
